We apply it to caps, sweatshirts, fleeces and any garment with enough body to hold the relief.
How 3D embroidery works
We lay a sheet of EVA foam over the fabric and embroider on top with high-density satin stitch; the thread wraps the foam and the final cut seals the outline. Typical relief height runs from 2 to 4 mm depending on the design.
Which designs work best in 3D
3D calls for bold shapes: thick lettering, monograms, crests and solid symbols. Very fine detail (lines under 3 mm, small text) resolves better in flat embroidery. The winning combination, and the one we make most, is mixed: the body of the logo in relief and the detail flat.
