It is the question we get most and the one fewest websites answer. Here is the honest reply from a workshop that has been embroidering since 1984: it depends on four factors, and all of them can be estimated in two minutes.
The 4 factors that set the price
- Stitches: a simple chest logo runs around 5,000–10,000 stitches; a dense or large one, many more. More stitches = more machine time.
- Size: 8 cm on the chest is not the same as a 28 cm back piece.
- Quantity: digitizing and set-up are spread across the units; that is why the per-piece price drops so much as the run grows.
- Garment and substrate: embroidering a structured cap or a fleece does not cost the same as a flat polo.
Indicative ranges (to give you an idea)
- Chest logo on polos (10–50 units): a few euros per garment.
- Embroidered patch 7–8 cm (100 units): from under €2 per unit.
- Cap with front logo (50 units): a very contained unit price; 3D adds cents.
- Graduation stoles: less than you would imagine on full-class orders.
